Women Leading Change Through Community Service in Manatee County

The Junior League of Manatee County (JLMC) is a nonprofit women’s leadership and volunteer organization dedicated to making a meaningful impact in Manatee County, Florida. Through community service projects, volunteer opportunities, and civic engagement initiatives, we empower women to serve, lead, and strengthen the neighborhoods we call home.

Our Mission

The Junior League of Manatee County is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Servicing Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Parrish, Palmetto, and the rest of Manatee County, JLMC is committed to:

  • Empowering women to grow as leaders and drive positive change in our community.

  • Creating hands-on opportunities for members to serve and make a difference in Manatee County.

  • Partnering with local nonprofits, schools, and civic groups to strengthen the community we share.

As a proud member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), we are part of a global network of women dedicated to leadership, service, and community building.

Community Impact in Manatee County

JLMC works to address pressing local needs through hands-on volunteer service and community programs. Some of our initiatives include:

  • Food security programs like Kids in the Kitchen and Snacks in Schools that help fight childhood hunger and encourage healthy eating.

  • Supporting local nonprofits and organizations through partnerships, mentoring, and volunteer hours.

  • Hosting service events & fundraisers that engage members, neighbors, and partner organizations in meaningful community work.

From park cleanups to food pantry drives, our members bring energy, compassion, and leadership to every project.

Leadership Development for Women
